Monthly Clean-Ups

Our monthly clean-ups are going strong, taking place on the first Saturday of every month. Since our last newsletter in November, we’ve collected an impressive 20 blue bags of rubbish, along with an unexpected assortment of lost hubcaps and even a rogue shopping trolley.

A huge thank you to everyone who has pitched in, whether you’re a regular, an occasional helper, or someone who quietly does their own litter-picking. We appreciate your effort and it all makes a big difference.

Expanding our efforts

Certain areas, like Johnstown Road and Rochestown Avenue, tend to accumulate litter quickly due to heavy foot and car traffic. To tackle these hotspots more effectively, we’re considering setting up a second clean-up meeting point for the monthly clean-ups at Centra on Johnstown Road.

If you live on Johnstown Road, Johnstown Court, Oakdale Drive, Rochestown Avenue, or nearby, and would be more likely to join a clean-up starting at Centra, we’d love to hear from you.
