An Taisce Spring Clean Sat 16 May

This year the JRA Clean‑up Group is taking part in the An Taisce Spring Clean on Saturday 16 May. Our focus this year is one specific litter and dumping hot‑spot: the green at Johnstown Avenue.

The green is used daily by children, families and dog walkers, but it also attracts a significant amount of rubbish. On Saturday 16 May, from 11am to 12 midday, we are asking residents to give one hour to help clean and tidy the area.

This is a practical first step towards improving the green for everyone who uses it.

If you use the green regularly, or live on Johnstown Avenue or nearby roads, we would especially encourage you to come along. All equipment will be provided, including bags, gloves, hi‑vis vests and litter pickers.

Even a short amount of time will make a difference, and extra hands will help us cover the area quickly and safely. The meeting point will be at the top of the green, on Johnstown Avenue, at 11am on Sat 16 May.
